From the historic chapel and tiled gardens to dinner in the Arch Room and a Lebanese-inspired celebration on the dance floor, every part of the day felt deeply personal.
Alongside digital photography, 35mm film brought another texture to the story of the day, capturing its atmosphere and quieter moments.
While the bride got ready in the Sala Árabe (Arab Room), the groom’s preparations took place simultaneously in the Sala de Armas (Armas Room), each surrounded by family, bridesmaids and groomsmen.
The religious ceremony took place in the historic church of Penha Longa, part of the former Jerónimos monastery dating back to the 14th century. Surrounded by centuries of history, Jordan and John exchanged their vows in one of the most distinctive spaces of the estate, elegantly styled by Decorelle.
Following the ceremony, the celebration moved to Adens Garden for cocktails, surrounded by the historic architecture and gardens of Penha Longa. With a DJ and live Portuguese guitar setting the mood, guests gathered for drinks and conversation.
After the cocktail, Jordan and John took a little time for portraits around the historic grounds of Penha Longa. We never want this part of the day to take the couple away from their guests for too long. A few intentional moments were enough to create portraits that captured the two of them within the character and architecture of the place, while leaving plenty of time to return to the celebration.
Dinner followed in the Arch Room at Penha Longa Resort, a historic space framed by stone arches and softly lit for the evening.
After dinner, the celebration moved into the open-air cloisters, where the cake cutting marked the beginning of the party.
The Welcome Reception in Cascais
With friends and family travelling from the United States to Portugal, Jordan and John gathered everyone at Hotel Baía Cascais the evening before the wedding for a relaxed sunset by the sea.
No formalities, no rush. Just good food, drinks, conversation and the people who had travelled a long way to be there.
VENDORS
Photographer
FILIPE SANTIAGO FOTOGRAFIA

Wedding Planner
CARINA OLIM - LAKEY EVENTS

Video
MARIA IMAGINÁRIA

Catering
PENHA LONGA CATERING

Flowers:
DECORELLE

Music:
YOUR JUKEBOX

Venue
PENHA LONGA RESORT

Reception Hotel
HOTEL BAÍA CASCAIS`;<template data-pt-type='blog' data-pt-slideshowid='6acce1b26e77f4f63d769bdb' ></template>

Jordan & John’s destination wedding at Penha Longa Resort in Sintra, Portugal, bringing together family and friends from the United States for a celebration rooted in family and culture.

[1,4

post-4754","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-blog","category-casamentos
["GET
